New Orleans Born, but Lafayette Raised
Lafayette, Louisiana holds a special place in my heart being my hometown since leaving New Orleans in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina; the city and the areas surrounding it exude charm, authenticity, and a deep appreciation for its cultural roots. The vibrant music, cuisine, and warm hospitality make Lafayette a place where traditions are cherished, creativity flourishes, and every day is an opportunity to immerse oneself in the rich tapestry of Cajun and Creole culture. It is with great happiness to be able to contribute to the local community and surroundings’ eye health, vision needs, and more.
A rewarding journey
During my time at Southern College of Optometry, I had the privilege of rotating through different specialty clinics such as primary care, contact lenses, pediatrics, low vision, and ocular disease clinics. These rotations alongside my externships allowed me to develop a well-rounded skill set and provided exposure to a variety of eye conditions and diseases. Underthe guidance of experienced faculty and preceptors, I gained proficiency in performing comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing and managing ocular diseases, and providing personalized treatment plans for patients of all ages.

As the gateway to the world, our eyes allow us to experience the beauty and wonders around us. It is an honor to aid others in preserving and enhancing this very ability and enabling them to fully participate and enjoy in daily activities, work, and hobbies. I strive to be up to date on eye health education, including preventive measures and lifestyle adjustments, and empowering patients to take proactive steps in maintaining their vision. With our compassionate care and dedication to patient needs, we strive to leave a lasting impact on the lives of our patients, ensuring they can see and appreciate the world with clarity and confidence.
